New Electronic Prescription Service

Good news! You will no longer need to visit the surgery to collect your paper prescriptions! Instead, your GP will be able to send your prescription electronically to a pharmacy of your choosing.

This means that, on top of saving you a trip and preventing the loss of an important, paper prescription, you will now have a greater choice regarding from where you may collect your medication.

Not only that, but you needn't fear complications should the prescription need cancelling. Your GP will be able to electronically cancel and issue new prescriptions without you having to return to the practice.

What a time saver!

Staff Training Closures
Please keep in mind that the surgery will be closed between the hours of 1.00pm and 6.30pm on the following date for staff training. 17 July, 13 September, 30 October and 14 November.

GP Designation for All Patients
From 01/04/2016 all patients will be assigned a named GP.
Please note that, whilst this doctor will be primarily responsible for your care, this will not prevent you from seeing other GPs at the surgery as per usual.
Should you wish to find out which GP you have been allocated you may ring the surgery as of this date.
Those wishing to change their designated GP at this time may request to do so.
Chronic Conditions and Medication Reviews
If you suffer from any chronic conditions, such as diabetes or asthma, or are on regular medication it is important that you remember to attend regular reviews and check-ups!
These appointments enable us to keep track of any changes and ensure that you continue to receive the best care for your needs.
This includes any patients who have been prescribed blood pressure reviews by their doctor.
South Park aims to keep you in the best of health, to help us do so it is essential that you maintain these medical reviews.
Missed Appointments
Our doctors’ time is valuable. Due to the large number of people booking appointments every day there are, unfortunately, patients who are unable to secure time with their doctor. It is disappointing, therefore, to learn that an appalling number of these precious appointments go unattended without prior notice. Not only is this inefficient and discourteous, but it is also wasting time that might have been spent with other patients in urgent need of treatment. Please make sure that you are not among those who do not notify the practice when unable to attend or wishing to cancel a nurse’s or doctor’s appointment. Thank you.
